Effects of updating to 4.53.651.1.1?

I've been getting a notification for a few months now to update to 4.53.651.1.1 (I think I currently have gingerbread, and I believe this is an update for gingerbread)... If I do the over the air update, will it delete my contacts, pictures, texts, voicemails, etc.? Or will everything stay on my phone just as it was before the update?

I'm thinking no because everything looks fine when i updated

unless something craps out royally, you shouldn't lose any data. make sure you have a full battery or are plugged in, get a reliable network connection (good signal or wifi) and let the phone update fully before trying anything with your phone.
