Element case for Galaxy SIII

Looks awesome! was thinking about the UAG case, but might have to take the plunge and grab this one instead!

$55?? I don't think so.

If you know anything about the Element Cases all of them are expensive. It is pricey compared to other cases but sometimes you get what you pay for. Some ppl like myself don't mind paying a premium for quality products. I'm an accessories addict anyway, always have like 5 cases for all my phones.:D

The carbon fiber looks really nice. I'm Really digging this case, thanks for sharing. :)

Lol, it's less protection than the defender which is $26 on Amazon. And don't try to argue that it does protect as well as the defender because, well, it doesn't.

The defender is older, thicker, and maybe the ugliest case. The design has not changed much for years and different models. There are also a bunch of counterfeits.

This is like those designer bags and jeans, or the macbooks/ultrabooks. It may not provide the same protection, but it provides decent protection while being light due to the carbon fiber.

You haven't tried the case. I haven't. So no one knows if it perfirms in par with the defender. If you're worried about price go buy a defender. If you have one why are you even complaining?

Unless you've owned this case which you haven't then you can only speculate. I had this case for my iPhone and dropped my phone in this case from a height of 2 feet without a scratch. This case isn't for everyone, but some of us don't want a cheap looking case on their phone either. This one is only premium quality.

Re: Element case for Galaxy S3

I just got my Element Case Atom for my Galaxy S3 (3-4 days earlier).

First impressions are that the case is amazing. The box is of high quality (but who cares.) It comes with a microfiber cloth, screen protector, and the case itself. The case is sturdy, thin, and aesthetically pleasing, but it is not without it's flaws.

The buttons are really hard to press for me. Much more of a hassle then when I got my Blackberry Playbook at the beginning of the year. The Power Button is more stiff than the volume buttons. Element Case advertises carbon fiber, I don't know carbon fiber well, but I feel like the "carbon fiber" on this case is fake. It gives of the same effect but it is completely flat so it feels/looks like a decal. The "carbon fiber" section also isn't put together as nice as I would like for a ~$50 case. The "carbon fiber" insert is not placed squarely/perfectly. There are gaps from the "carbon fiber" to the edge/slot where they are placed allowing dust to gather up through just days of use in my opinion.

I wish they didn't charge such a premium on a case that isn't a flagship that feels like a slightly more fortified tpu case. I'm still happy with it because now I have a screen protector with the loss of my flip cover.

.:edit:.

I found a slight crease/dent near the border of the camera hole..not cool

Pictures coming up soon

55 for a case that doesn't come with a belt clip and doesn't have a screen protector?! Looks nice but wait... looks just the ballistic shape.

It's $55 due to the expensive shipping $12 minimum. It also does come with a screen protector, but I doubt it provides the same level of protection as a ballistic..let alone a Otterbox or the Obex/LifeProof. I'll end up selling this case later on for cheaper price so I can get another case that will provide more protection.
