Email app crashing when sending attachment

I am attempting to email a 2mb attachment to my work email using the default email app. Every single time I hit send, the app crashes.

The default email app is terrible. Try installing a mail app from the play store, like k9 mail or aquamail.

It's only one image to one email address. I don't understand what's making the app crash just from sending an attachment.
