Email apps that can use all your folders?

I've always used whatever email app was stock on my phones but I've recently been experimenting with other apps. My primary acct. is with Comcast and I have multiple folders set up for organization purposes; receipts, auto, ebay, etc. None of the email apps I've tried recognize any of the folders other than the inbox. Are there any apps out there that support this? Also, every app I've tried seem to only be able access the most recent 45 emails? Why don't they see everything in the inbox?

Any suggestions?

Take a look at Type Mail (Blue Mail). It gives me access to all my Cox account folders (POP3). See if it works with Comcast. Another option is My Mail.

I prefer Type because it gives an unread count notification in the widget icon, which My Mail does not.

K9 mail has always been able to see folders BUT, as with all apps, you must be using Imap rather than POP3. POP3 connections, no matter which app you use, will not see folders.

Actually, my Cox email is set up as a POP3 connection and Type does see and access all my personal folders. I use it every day.

This is just my own personal experience..... others may be different.

Thanks so much. I generally allow the apps to do the automatic setup and apparently they set up as POP. I deleted the account and manually set it up using Comcast's IMAP settings and all issues are resolved. I'm currently using K-@ Mail and think I'll stick with it for now. It's a better looking version of K-9.

That doesn't sound right for pop3. You can create LOCAL folders in a mail client, but they won't sync with the server. Pop3 by definition just delivers all of the email received in the inbox to the mail client - either all or all new since last check. If you put mail in folders on your phone, you'll see folders, but you shouldn't be able to see them anywhere else. That's the advantage of imap over pop3.

Superb app - it's what the default app should be. I don't know of any email protocol it doesn't handle.

Check out AquaMail. Handles all types of accounts except Active Sync. Extremely configurable with options galore. Excellent support via built-in help, user forum and email. Fast and stable.

Another vote for AquaMail. Best and most flexible email app I've been able to find. If you need help, the developer is very quick to give a personal answer.
