Email help

I am converting from an iphone to the HTC One and I am noticing some emails come in as text only with no pictures or other content. When viewing on my iPad everything is there. It's like there is content that is not downloaded... Any suggestions.

Isn't there an option to show images?

Not that I can find... for example I got an email from HTC one about the $100 trade up program and it is all text.

Use Gmail, the stock app is not as good.
