I am not getting my emails as they come in. Only when I push the email button do I get my email's. I have it set for checking every hour. This is frustrating because I miss emails at times. Any suggestions? ???

Which Client are you using? Gmail or the OEM Email app? If you have Gmail, I would recommend using the Gmail App.

By having it set for checking ever hour means your only gonna get the emails that came in, ever hour. You wont get them as they come since it has to finish its time to recheck again for the next hour.

Yes it does. Its the only way to have the mail sent to you immediatly like "push". You can try JuiceDefender free or plus. I have the Plus edition and I cant tell you how much that has saved on my battery. I only charge it once a nigth now.

Leaving it on balanced mode, does a turn on of your mobile network every 15 minutes while the phone is in sleep mode. It mainly oly saves in Sleep mode for me. Like when I put the phone to sleep, it turns off the mobile network data connection. And returns it back on in 15 minute increments. From that happening, ive seen a significant increase in battery life!
