Email Losing Itself in Phone

I get my cable ISP email on my phone but need to reply from my PC. Why is it that when I view an email on the phone first and mark it as unread, it never appears on my PC? Is there a way to set the phone so it?s just tagging along, can read but can?t reply or change a mail?s status?

What program are you using to check this email, and what mail protocol are you using (POP, IMAP, for example)? If you are using POP, that normally downloads the message off the mail server and on to the device you are checking the email with. Usually with POP mail clients there is an option to leave the messages on the server (so you are just downloading a copy of the message, not the message in its entirety). If you are using IMAP or something else, or if you are just using the phone's browser to check your ISP's webmail, then I can't help you.
