Email Notification Bugged?

When I get the Notification at fist its fine for the fist like ten seconds but then the icon in the toolbar just goes away lol can someone help? Btw this is with the stock email app not the gmail obe

Yup, I had the exact same problem. Someone recommended I use an alternative email application like k9. K9 seems to not have that problem.
