Email Notifications

Can't get email notifications or badge counts on my S9+. Thanks for any help. I have email notifications turned on in App notifications and icon badges turned on.

Unfortunately, icon badges are cleared when notifications are swiped away from the notification area.

But I don't get notifications when I get email

None at all, eh? Well, that's weird.

I receive notifications, and this is how mine is set up in Settings->Notifications->Email:

Notifications ON
App icon badges ON

Then, under my primary email account:

New emails ON
Make sound

Tap on "Make sound," and I see the following:
Importance: High: Make sound
Sound: Whisper
Vibrate: OFF
App icon badges: ON
On lock screen: Do not show notifications (I like them to show up in the notification shade only)

And I have the other categories set up identically to that (VIPs, Snooze, Privacy and security, Miscellaneous)

Thanks, djrakowski, mine are set like that, but I still get no sound notifications for email, or icon badges with count.

Try this:
Settings -> Apps -> ... (3 dots in upper right corner) -> Special access -> Notification access -> Samsung Experience Home -> and switch it ON
