email problem

Just got my droid. Love it, but it seems even though I have the setting to check my email every 5 minutes. the only time it does is if I open email and then it checks. I am using the app for my comcast email. Am I doing something wrong?

Do you happen to have a task killer installed? Or do you manually kill the 'email' service?

i have the advanced task killer installed

Make sure ATK isn't killing email or gmail. If they're killed, they won't run in the background.
