Email question

I'm using the stock Samsung email app. I had been for awhile with no issues. When I updated my email address, I can no longer find a way to incorporate the setting I'm looking to find.

I use hotmail, and prefer to have the emails not deleted from the server when i delete them on my phone. This worked from the time I originally got the phone about a year ago. After adding the new email address, I no longer find this option or how to make it work. Any thoughts on a fix for this? I am open to a different email app if necessary.

Check on the hotmail web page - there may be a setting there to not delete emails when deleted by an email program. Make sure the account is set as IMAP, nor POP3.
