Hi there. I'm wondering if there is a way to allow emergency (ICE) contacts or other medical info to display on the lock screen via widget or some such?

I'm an iPhone transferree, and liked knowing my meds and allergies could be accessed from lock in case of an emergency.

Thanks for any advice!

Under Settings then Lock Screen, scroll down to Contact Info for lost phone. There you can type whatever message you want on your lock screen.

DOH!! Thanks. Yeah, there's a character limit, but it was enough to list my ICE contact and type "No allergies"

LOL

Usually you have to go into the Contacts app and go to groups and you can set up your ICE contacts. After that while you're screen is locked go to the emergency call or open the phone (don't unlock your device) and from there you should see your ICE contacts.

Thats important for anyone with a significant past medical history, allergies or an extensive med list that could complicate medication administration or the care i give them. As an EMT I love it when my patients have that information within reach if they cant communicate it to me.

This is something great to talk about and, as you've stayed, very useful in case of an emergency. Good thread! :)
