Emoji in the international key?

New android user, and I came over from iPhone. I was wondering if there's a way to access emoji icons by hitting the international key just like on iphone. I've searched the forums, and seen that separate messaging apps that have emoji pluggins, but I just want to use the stock one in my One X.

Again, no app, just switching to emoji with the international key.

Nope.. you would need to download a plugin like you mentioned or switch to a different keyboard like Swiftkey, Smartkeyboard, etc..
