Emoji key not working on Swype for Android?

I have a Galaxy S5 phone with Android 5.0 running. I have the Swype keyboard loaded. My "smiley" button used to bring up my emoji symbols, but not it doesn't do anything. Any suggestions on what to do?

If you have CleanMaster, disable its iSwipe feature. This worked for me, thanks to my wife's discovery! Jesus loves you.

I have a Galaxy S5 phone with Android 7.0 running. I have the Swype keyboard loaded. My "smiley" button has a "recently used" button that looks like a clock and used to be full. After the recent update, they were wiped clean and they never store there anymore. I have to look for them in their indiv pages every time, now. Any suggestions on what to do?
