Emoji smileys with stock messaging app?

The stock messaging app kinda blows in my opinion and GOSms pro has been awesome so far. Takes some tweaking but can be awesome. The windows phone 7 skin looks great on this phone. Emojis work fine between it and I phones as well

I don't understand why the stock messaging app doesn't allow you to send the emojis but your able to see receive them android style.. I am using jellybean and I noticed I am getting emojis but they are the droid versions. The puzzling thing is that the stock messaging app doesn't allow you to send them but ur able to receive them... Also why doesn't the stockk messaging app know how to properly use group SMS? I am forced to use a 3rd party -handscent & group plugin from handscent to properly use the group sms. For folks that dont know what i mean reference iOS group SMS or 3rd Parties.

the android things are more smileys: etc than emoji. think emoji are more complex and use chinese symbols or something

when ip users send emojis over to me via txt message I am able to see them (through stock message app) but they are android version of it. I am not refering to the basic smileys . For an example the whale , strawberry, lipstick . These I get on the stock but I am not able to send them or have an option. So i guess 3rd party apps is the only thing to use even after Jellybean????

i honestly wouldnt know mate. ive used Go Sms for a long time and i only know a couple of iphone users lol (theyr nowhere near as big here as in the US) really like Go Sms coz if the other person uses it, u can draw pictures, use handwriting etc + send it as a normal sms

Below is a screenshot of emoji enabled on jelly bean I see these on stock messaging app and other applications as well. The thing Is don't get is why enable to view them but not send also?

although Go Sms with the Emoji Plugin supports emoji.. does anyone know if its compatible with sending/recieveng them from iphone? thankfuly i now have NO friends still using iphone

It's compatible with iPhone. My boyfriend has iPhone and I have galaxy s3 with Go Sms emoji plug in.

All the emoji plug is used to work and allow you to see emojis from iPhone but somehow . The latest update to the iPhone doesn't allow us to see them any more. We can send them but can't see them. At least in the US. (It might work at&t to at&t phones but other than that nope. Stopped working a couple of weeks ago and for each plug in... be it chomp, go out Handcent sms everybody is mad.

i have the galaxy s3 and go sms pro and the plugin and i can send emoji to iPhone users and the get them fine but i can't receive them it just shows up like X=^ . do i have a setting wrong or something please help

I have chompsms which is a bummer because for one it doesn't have sms search although its growing on me. I was lolooking for a shortcut of sorts for the smileys and emojis since I can see and send em but dont have it on the reply keyboard ibstead I have to memorize the shortcuts. Do you guys have an alternative other than installing another sms app?
