Android Central Question

Hello everyone i would like to know why i dont recieve update for emui 10 for Mate 20 pro i check in hicare but i want to install it not from hicare

I moved this to the Mate 20 Pro forum for more specific traffic.

What is hicare ? Have you manually went into settings and check for software update ? I'll leave a link to register so you can communicate here, as a guest account u cant .https://forums.androidcentral.com/showthread.php?t=409154
Hicare is an inbuilt Huawei app that one can check warranty and do updates amongst other things with.

OP, what Cust code and Emui 9 version are you currently on? I've attached a screen shot as an example. Mine shows Android version 9.1.0.346 C432 which is the Cust region code.Screenshot_20191208_205705.jpg

Huawei have a real weird way of updating their devices. Thats the first thing I noticed . Unlike Samsung which goes by CSC for example, Huawei use the cust code and IMEI for updates. Couple that with also having to use a sim specific to the phones region, then updates can be non existent.

Interesting, never used Huawei wanted the mate 20 pro never happened . Maybe in future will get one I do like their design and features.

Go to hi care settings. Change your location to Singapore. Some users, including me, received the update once changing the location in hi care.
