EMUI?

Did you disable a lot of stuff on you pixel 2 xl and HTC u11 as well?
More of I hid the apps and did not configure some, most of it was getting g used to some of the extra features.

My advice is its like a car its down to personal taste, go and try one in a store and see how you get on or find someone local who has one who can share experiences as nothing like a hands on

You are correct phone's are like car's try and see what you like. I visit CPW, three, Vodafone etc store's and try the phones before I buy and always end up with the correct choice. I visit a few mobile forum's and it's always fascinating to see people moan about mobile phones that they didn't properly research before buying, like people giving a phone a 1 because it doesn't have micro SD card slot LOL. Definitely first world problems.
That being said loving my Mate 10 Pro adding it to my Mate 9 two best phones I have owned in terms on built quality, battery life. EMUI is an acquired taste that I knew before hand, so nothing to really see there. Has some annoyances along with some great features.

That is definitely not good. Hopefully they will make it closer to emui 7 in a future update

Think you misread there, there is no EMUI 7, he was saying EMUI 8 is better than its older version which would be EMUI 5 or 5.1.

Most definitely, people need to research before hand and try the phones out themselves. Unfortunately many people don't do research and just buy whatever the sales person recommends, and then complain later

You are right! I meant to say emui 5,but for some reason mistakenly wrote 7!
