Enabling wifi is very slow on my phone. (Samsung S5) How can I fix this?

enabling wifi is very slow on my phone. (samsung s5)

turning on wifi takes 10+ seconds to get a connection. when i turn on mobile data it's instantaneous.

anybody has this issue? any idea why this is happening ?

Must be because the device is looking for a connection first.

Try forgetting the network and then reboot your router
