Encrypted SD Card Question

If I were to encrypt my sd card. Can I still take it out and view what's on there using a computer or one of those photo print kiosks?

No,you can't.

But some of them let you plug in usb devices... You can plug your phone in and access the sd card through the phone

If you have any apps on the SD card, encrypting it might cause the apps to stop working. I've been decrypting my SD card for the past 30 minutes and there's still a ways to go.

I have been trying to decrypt my card for over an hour. The screen is stuck on "Checking SD card...."

Has anyone experienced this? If so, how do I fix?

I am new to Android phones (finally got away from iPhone). I put a new 128 GB in my new galaxy s7 and started to encrypt it. It's been on "checking sd card" for well over 12 hours. I kept my card in exFAT......but that's WAY too long for something to encrypt. Any thoughts?

Seems too long but I haven't encrypted mine
