Encrypting and Decrypting---your advice is appreciated.

I have a S4 Mini...model #SCH-1257M with all updates done.

I would like to know if it is advisable to Decrypt an S4 mini or should I just leave it alone.

On my S4 mini I clicked on the Encrypt button and followed all the instructions. Everything went okay. I now have to sign in using a password.
Now, I wanted to change the password sign in to a Swipe sign in but the problem is that It will not give me any other way to sign in, except by using the password. And I cannot even change it....I tried using others advice.
On my device, there is a box named Decrypt (above the Encrypt box). Should I just click on it and go back to original or am I looking for some problems in trying to do this?

Welcome to Android Central! Encryption requires that you use either PIN or Password. What happens if you tap the Decrypt option? My understanding is that the only way to remove encryption is to do a factory reset. Does Decrypt actually allow you to remove encryption without the reset?
