Encryption slows down phone.

While I was expecting the encryption to slow the phone down it slows the phone down a lot more than I thought it would. I do not, however want to factory reset my phone.

Not much else you can do except disable encryption and reset.

Actually it has sped back up so no issues with it anymore.
