End of Life?

It was announced that the Photon 4g went EOL this month. As everything i've seen about the Electrify tells me that these are the same phone on different carriers, is the Electrify soon to follow?

I hope not. I'd like to see the Electrify get the ICS update. However, I have lots of USCC Belief Points and can update early, so maybe it is time to start thinking 4G. The Electrify is the best phone that I have ever had.

Sprint needs to EOL it to make room for the introduction of the LTE devices they're going to need soon. I dunno what US Cellular plans, but I'd expect to have it a while.

WiMax is going the way of the Betamax, and thankfully so. Yeah, it sucks in one way, but at least in the future they'll have a network that won't be exempt from roaming agreements, and manufacturers wont have to build totally separate hardware for.

It is a nice device, for certain, and was definitely underrated.
