Go play with a Devour @ Verizon. Thats MotoBlur.

Droid X w/o Motoblur = Win
Droid X w/ Motoblur = :(

Go play with a devour seriously. The look an feel of this blur is totally different their not even close. That's like telling someone who wants an incredible past with an eris
Pre 2.1 eris at that.don't knock it until you try it

I'm really caught in a tough situation myself....the review was actually very good & of course there are some missing features we'd all like to have plus some additions removed too. I can get this phone probably end of july or wait till early august for an early upgrade as my BB Tour just sux azz. There are rampant rumors about Moto coming out with an even better model which I'd almost bet will be on Verizon too & even rumors of other Android phones coming down the line. I just want a complete phone with what is becoming standard: 1Ghz or More Cpu, 2.1(Eclair) or 2.2(FroYo), HD Vid with HDMI Plug, 5+Mp camera w/Front Facing one as well, & also good internal storrage & the ability to add an additional MemCard on top of what's in the phone. There are a few other things that I can't think of @ the moment but you get the point......no one including myself wants to be totally left in the cold & having not all the needs. I know this sounds a lil much right? Pssst NOT hahaha! I love the EVO but bad reception, batt life, & a few others make it unworthy to jump to SPRINT. What to do what to do???

There will always be a better phone coming in the next couple months. Get over the need to constantly have "the best" or shell out the bucks to pay retail whenever a new "best" is released.

Droid pro google it.its the phone that has full flash support nvidia graphics etc

Well I'd tell him to go play with a Droid X but he can't now can he? I'm pretty sure the guy is smart enough to be able to tell from the pics, that this version of Motoblur has been updated/changed.

Still doesn't take away from the fact that he asked about Motoblur and my advice still stands,Just don't go basing the Droid X off of the Devour experience.

Doubt I'm alone on this one...would have really liked to see her pop off that back cover and see what kind of battery is powering that bad boy...

This is a true statement, but there is a difference between waiting and "future-proofing" your phone. A device with 1ghz+, 2.2 Froyo, front-facing cam, HD shooting, HD screen, HDMI output (no matter how useless that is), and a 4.1+inch screen is, in my opinion, future-proof. THAT is what I want.

So waiting for a phone that will keep you from being jealous of every other new phone coming out after it is something definitely worth waiting for.

Coming from a BlackBerry 8330 to an Incredible,I'm more then satisfied...especially since root is starting to open up the Incredible. I'll be perfectly content using this phone until the Droid Z is out or the next 2 years.

Would be all over this if not for motoblur. Hopefully it either gets rooted before it comes out (ala the evo) or you can just disable motoblur now. Either will do fine for me. Plus with the acquisition of Duarte I am sure that I will be wanting a stock android experience. Maybe companies will make their phones come with more of a distro and give you the option of the ui to use... You know, like how linux normally is...

Im sure the overall experience of using this phone will be as close to stock than anything else especially phones running the sense UI because looking at the pics to me it looks like motorola has made motoblur more of a launcher or light skin rather than a full on overhaul so it is like exactly what they are saying "its less in your face". To me it seems everyone is finding ways to make this phone less than it is so they don't feel bad for getting their phone (probably EVO). In my case I don't see the lack of a front facing camera as a negative because to be honest personally I don't need and I thought of all the times I would use it and how many people I would talk to and the number wasn't enough to warrant me to go get an EVO. This is something everyone should be thinking about whether or not it suits you NOW. Forget all this future proof talk because NOTHING is future proof. Also let me add that currently on Verizon's 3G service video calling would be limited to wifi or suffer the consequences of crappy, glitchy videos. So I would conclude that until the years end when Verizon LTE is up and running there won't be one, but I would love to be wrong.

Agreed, until LTE video calling would be horrid!

but it will not be lte so that makes it not future proof right there...

OK, working with photo 42, I rotated the phones. Got a rough approximation as to the pixel of each phone. I then took the evo size in pixels and divided that into the inches. That gave me a conversion factor then I took that and multiplied it by the size in pixels for the X. These are by no way official sizes but I have something to work by. I have not seen an official size mentioned anywhere so I decided to check it. I think the length may be a bit off (the pic was taken at a slight angle so that doesn't help).

Anyways the measurements are as follows
2.66" x 5.14"

As I said these are not official and I am sure are off but they should be close...

Here are the dimensions (found elsewhere):
