engadget review released!

That's a good review. It almost wants me to give up my OG Dinc for a Dinc2, except if I did that I would have to give up root and CM7, which I'm not willing to do.

He expressed the same negatives as I've said in another thread how VZW really dug deep into the phone with all the stupid pre-loaded apps.

VZ navigator. Nuff said.

The phone is great. I hate, hate, the extra stuff. I can't wait to be able to remove some of that stuff or at least freeze them up.

8/10. Above average. I'll take it! :)

Freeze them up then! I temp rooted mine the second day I had it, three weeks ago, and haven't seen the crapware on my phone since! ;)

I'm new to android so I want to get use to it first before I do any kind of rooting. Besides, I'm not in the states so I would like to use it on a cell network and get a hold of how the phone wants to act before I root it.

But a temp root is just that, temporary. If I'm going to root it, I'm going all the way baby. I plan on rounding 3rd you know what I mean?

Hey, more power to you for doing it. I didn't want to do it wrong. I'm relying on someones else's typing ability and developing ability when they do write ups on rooting. If they fat finger a "u" instead of the right letter, I have an Incredible Brick 2. I'm not 100% comfortable with that. I'm not saying who ever did that Temp Root thread doesn't know what they are doing, I'm just saying, ME, I'm not 100% comfortable with it right now. It's a possibility don't get me wrong, just not right now.

Unless it's fool proof, which then I may just do it on my day off next week.

I wrote it up ;) and I made it so it is very easy to do, even for someone with no experience at all :)

There have been many on here and xda that have used it with success

And full root is still an unknown as to when it will happen, so don't hold your breath, just have patience.

Temp root, freeze bloatware, wait for perma root. I've never used an android phone until mine and I did it first try. Just use every letter, space, etc in the write up. So nice not having all that extra crap on my phone.
