Yes, and if you have tons of shields to burn you can actually get points for replacing a shield, too. Just click upgrade, click a shield slot, click remove, confirm, then deploy a new shield there.

Not many points, but I used it when I needed 1,000 points to level and unlock a bunch of higher-level gear I had been accumulating.

Not much per say but when u are in downtown Chicago with hundreds of portals within walking distance its pretty easy besides the cold lol.

Just going by what I read....still no update....you'll just have to keep checking yourself.

It's already here. Server side upgrade, no scanner upgrade required.

10AP for recharging (it usually takes 2-3 recharges per ten percent of charge on the resonators).

65AP for upgrading someone else's resonator.

Nothing for upgrading your own resonators, so if you lay down R1 then expect points for replacing them immediately with R2, you're wasting resonators. However, if you're there with a team...

As more and more users progress to higher levels, "with a team" is becoming an increasingly key element in everything. And I believe that's part of the point.

Not to mention if you scan ALL chat for attacks, when they place level 1 resonators initially, that's all you will see, unless you check on the Intel map. Upgrades remain invisible.

I got my invite 2 days ago.. still trying to figure out the game properly. This thread has been a big help.

I live in a small town and me and 1 of my friend, we two are the only one's in about 50km area. We both chose the same team. So that is good ? i mean to progress in the game it would have been easier if we were in opposite teams or same teams?

As far as I have understood the game , we both can work together and cover the entire 50km area with blue 'shield' lol ????

Similar situation here but you will see randomly that other people will drive through or close to your town and baam. Today one of my level two portals went up to Level 5 and is now linked with a portal over 1 hour away drive time. It truly is a "global" game.

Here in Orlando some resistance from Tampa decided to take a 2 hour drive to claim our portals. Group of them came and took everything.
