Epic 4g Accessories Options now?

- I never used to use or worry nor care for cellular accessories , but within past few years I do. My question is, why make us wait to purchase "in-store" accessories I don't wanna wait to receive them via mail I want my accessories the day I get my phone, and I am sure stock and variety will be scare and very broad... I am looking to purchase the 3.5mm to rca tv out which quite frankly will work don't have to buy FROM samsung/sprint so that's a check, now on to the cases and the dock but more so the dock, I am comming from a pre and I love the touchstone, so does anyone know if the dock will work with ours? if so im going to order it before I get my phone so I can already have it, Im also not finding any cases either just universal ones any suggestions out their?

I personally don't think it will. The usb port is in a different spot on the epic from the other galaxy s phones.

I'm almost positive you will have to do some sort of mod to get the Touchstone to work with the Epic. As for car mounts and docks, You can get the Mega Grip from Arkon:

I took it as he meant with the galaxy s dock (link in his post) work with the epic, not the touchstone. Someone got it to work with the Evo, but you WILL have to do some serious wiring mods to the phone, most likely messing it up., so I don't recommend even attempting it. Your best bet is to look for an inductive charging battery from powermat. Don't know if they are available yet.

I think he meant will the Samsung dock work with the USB cord and wall plug from the touchstone/pre. Not will the touchstone work without serious modding.

Well Seidio is selling cords that work with the pre for use on the Epic. I'm sure a lot of others will say concerns of total power etc- as the pre was a 1350 vs the Epic's 1500 battery... but I plan to use the pre cords as I've got a number of them (including the car one) will see how they work- and determine from there.

In the meantime- might finally be time to sell the touchstone hockey pucks...sad day indeed.

mah doesn't matter in this case, its the draw. a 1amp power cord is recommended when possible. 500mamp will probably be fine for most cases, but don't expect it to be able to handle GPS in the car.

what I meant was will the current for sale samsung dock for 39.99 work with the epic 4g? either way Ill just hope the sprint store has them @ launch and a decent case
