Not sure if this was asked...I searched but didn't find anything. Does the new Epic have the $10 premium data tax like the Evo does? Or is that an HTC thing?
Would love to know how many ring tones / notification sounds come pre-loaded onto the Epic, and how easy it will be (if at all) to customize different sounds with different features
e.g. a sound for SMS notification, a ringtone for email (different ringtones for different email types like Yahoo, gmail?), and a different sound for calendar reminders...
I hope the customization options are many (although even though I'll be a new Android user, I'm sure there is or will be apps in the Marketplace to help out with this if it doesn't come as a stock feature on the phone)
Can the dedicated camera button be disabled? Nothing gets on my nerves faster than accidentally opening the cam on phones with the ded button. Thanks!
When you are in a video call on Qik what happens when you get a voice call (or even text or email)? Does it interrupt the video?
This isn't ATT! You can browse and call at the same time! I don't think that it interrupts the video, but you can probably put it on hold. I used Fring way more than Qik, but then Skype was shut down on Fring, so I might use Qik more now (not the HD, don't have that kind of money)
You mean CANT browse right? I forgot about email being tied in with the internet, but it was more for the voice call anyway. I did plan on using Skype but I remember in one of the 30 youtube reviews it was said that Skype wasnt available yet for the Epic.

No, for Sprint's network I think you can talk and surf. Skype isn't available for anyone except Verizon users because of their little contract. Skype pulled out of the Fring app for whatever reason (violation of terms?) and now you can't access your Skype account anywhere.
My understanding is that Sprint 4G phones don't contain this restriction while on WiMax. You should be able to use the Internet while on a call, assuming you are on a 4G connection (or WiFi).
No I've had sprint for almost 6 years and could never talk and surf....I think thats on GSM networks only.Well it does look like Ill be using Qik then lol
I hope that is true about WiMax...that would be a plus
ATT can't do it. I think T-Mobile can. Sorry, I'm not really thinking straight, kinda upset with my class schedule, but you are correct. I just mixed up an ad I saw long ago for T-Mobile.
Oh ok i thought ATT did also. Never had them so I wasnt really sure
Well, during my iPhone days (lol, I still have an iPhone), people would complain that ATT can't do surf and talk, so that's how I learned.![]()
The only reason you can't on your iPhone is if you're in a 2G area, or haven't updated your software os to 3.0 or higher. Technically you can on ATT.
LMAO... I'm sure he was kidding... well I HOPE he was kidding...![]()
