I found a free app in the marketplace called Callfilter that sends unknown callers directly to voicemail.

is there a setting for email where I can select "receive as they come/arrive"? every 5 minutes doesn't cut it. i'd assume imap would come as they arrive anyway right?

If u find out let me know - its more drain on battery when u have a time frame set it needs to be set to as items arrive yet option not available

I did a quick search but I didn't find anything. My question is, can I save a picture I am looking at on the browser to my phone? I was able to do this with the pre and its more recent updates, but I didn't find anything in regards to this in the Epic's guide.

I gotta ask... Anyone know about when the epic might be getting Android 2.2? It seems like I remember hearing rumors later this month we should see it, but anyone have any more details on this?

I've been having a really hard time deciding between an Evo and Epic. I really like the Evo form and Sense UI. But the Epic has some other nice features like 512MB DDR2 RAM, better video graphics and a better screen, though smaller.

The ideal phone is the Facinate, too bad Sprint will not be getting that phone.

I also don't care too much for a physical keyboard, but I don't mind is so long as I don't have to use it to edit text. So here is my question. How does one edit text on the Samsung and on the Evo. By edit I mean having to reposition the cursor to modify, cut, and/or copy a portion of text?

I do a lot of typing on my smart phone and ultimately the best device is going to be the one that allows me to edit text documents and emails.

with my experience being i had the evo and traded it for my new epic. the epic is much smoother and easier to edit text the way you are describing. when i tried it on the evo i kept not getting the cursor in the right spot and sometimes it copied it so far for me i would say the epic handles this better.

Honestly, the only part of froyo I care about is google voice actions, because vlingo doesn't understand me very well.

What advantage will this phone have over the EVO 4G. I have an EVO, and there doesn't seem like there's anything really worth switching for, but then again I'm not a fan of the hardware keyboard.

Great question....

Epic is faster, smoother, screen is just amazing. Screen is .3 smaller but not that big of a deal. you do have the keyboard incase you dont want to type on the screen. Personally i didn't think i would use it but i catch my self using the keyboard a lot and a lot every day.

Wasn't able to find this anywhere in the Epic docs, so I figured I would see if anyone here in the forums could answer this one.

I often call contacts that work inside offices where a PBX system routes calls coming into a main number. If you know the person's extension, you can get directly to their desk. With the contact fields in my Epic, there doesn't seem to be any method for adding a command that either waits for input or a specific length of time before dialing the extension.

Knowing how to do this would make my life so much easier. Any answers?

The only thing that I can find is that when you are in phone mode, type in the number as though you were going to dial it, click the options tab for that screen and select "wait". This will add a semicolon at the end of the number wherein you can add an extension. Not sure if this works, but it's my best guesstimate. Fingers crossed!

Change Default Calendar

Does anyone know if we can change the default calendar from the phone calendar to another calendar, say a Gmail calendar, for example? It's annoying to have to make the change at every entry. Lazy. I know. But, the phone calendar doesn't synch with gmail, so I have no other backup in case of crash.

I tried the sprint hotspot app. and I wad able to successfully connect multiple devices. I however could not get internet connections on ithe connected devices. I do not pay for the added service. My question is.....is it normal to be able to connect with local only access with the app or should it not work at all if you are not paying for it? I got excited for a minute when I saw it connecting, it looked like it was fully working until I realized I couldn't access the internet.

Epic sync with itunes

I'm a Palm Pre converter here and totally new to Android. Any way of getting my music with artwork to the epic? I know I can drag my audio files when the icon appears on my desktop, but wasn't able to get the artwork. On the pre, I kept itunes 8, so it would do a full media sync. Any help would be great.

Use a comma. Each one will allow for a small pause (I usually stick with 3 or 4). You will want to experiment to get the right number.

How do you edit the user dictionary?

So, I have no clue on how to even bring up the user dictionary, let alone edit it. There are a ton of words, (last name, etc...) I want to add, but have no clue how. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From the main settings menu goto ' Language and Keyboard', its at the bottom.

In calendar preferences you can check which calendars to view, when you do a calendar entry it gives you the option of picking which calendar you want to add the entry

IT DOES do high quality YouTube. Just hit menu > More > High Quality
