Epic 4G Out of Stock!

Did the Sprint store match the price? Or what price did you buy them for?

Thanks

No, the Sprint corporate store would not budge at all. Another local retailer, Sprint by Wireless Lifestyle, did meet me halfway, which was ok by me. For all intent and purposes, they appeared to be a corporate store, same receipts and everything.

I ordered the Epic-brand new, not a refurb, from Radio Shack for 19.99 today-about an hour ago, had called them up. I couldn't pass that up.

My cousin has this phone, I'd looked at it-wanted a Samsung. I went to the Sprint store in my area to look at it further and the screen is very nice, clear. I'd seen HTC's phones and while they are slightly-just a tad wider, the Samsung had the clearest, sharpest, nicest colors, best view.

I'm coming from AT&T, with an LG VU 920. I wanted a bigger screen, something that might not ruin my eyesight as fast lol. I have a new job, we don't have the web, so I use my phone to look at the web-the screen is too small. I also wanted to get away from AT&T's higher prices and possible overage charges.

I hope Sprint keeps their pricing as is. While my bill will be about $25 more/month, I'll have more ability and the larger screen to be able to view. I looked at the Captivate, and while I'm not the biggest texter, I do like the keyboard, it will come in handy for writing when I don't have my laptop or pdas handy.

Looking forward to looking through all things Android, can't wait to get the phone!! :D

I was coming from a nextel phone to a samsung Epic 4g. Now I have my epic 4g phone rooted (thanks to Android Central Forums), so I can get good signal everywhere even inside buildings thanks to Roam Control App, (watch out your minutes. Since I have a family plan with Sprint and the others do not use a lot minutes I am able to be out the Spritn Network any time I want to), and free WiFi tethering as well. You can get both app from the Android Market. In addition to that, I have a costum rom (SyndicateRom Frozen (Takiya). In my opinion it is one of the best costum rom out there for the Epic 4g.:)

$19 it is the best price you can get for this phone (Epic 4g). No wonder, it is out stock!!!

I picked up two Epics yesterday at Best Buy for $99 each....both pre-loaded with Froyo 2.2. First impressions? Coming from an Samsung Instinkt, WOW! Haven't had a lot of time to play with the thing, so I'm still learning my way around it, but, I'm liking it so far.

Welcome to the Epic 4g world!!!. In addition to that you can have your phone rooted. You can have free tethering, a better battery life, better signal when you want (in order to do that you have to buy an app called "Roam Control" from the Market. Since you bought two phones you must have the family plan Any time Any mobile with 1500 minutes. You do not have to worry about roaming you plenty of minutes. You can get Wifi tethering for root users from Market as well. After you root your phone you can install a custom rom. I am running Syndicate Rom Frozen 1.1.0 (Takiya) and Genocide Kernel. You will know what I am talking about go to Epic 4G rooting, Roms, Hacks forum.
