After a couple months of no issues, all of a sudden I can't upload to picasa anymore - uploading doesn't work at all on my phone. Anyone know how to reset data on the phone? I've tried turning it off and on and all that stuff, no luck.
Facebook stopped working too, says something about "socket error".
Give me some advice, but don't say "hard reset" please! :)

OK u asked how to reset data, but then you said don't say "hard reset". They're essentially the same exact thing.

To do a data reset the noob way. Hit home>settings>privacy>reset.

But before you do that. Wipe the cache. Power off your phone, and then when you power it on, hold the volume down button + the camera button and then power on and continue holding. This will take you into recovery. then navigate to wipe cache - using the volume keys, and then use the home button to select it. Try your uninstalling and reinstalling the app if that doesn't work.
last chance would be wiping data either through settings or recovery.

But I think uninstalling and installing will work

market doesn't work, appbrain doesn't work, not much is working - "a network error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen" is what I keep getting.

can't wipe cache as when i restart holding down those buttons, the recovery mode isn't coming up either.

wait, why cant you wipe it?
what happens when you try to boot into recovery.

i was on my phone so it was hard to type so im gonan retype what i said -

turn off your phone.
Hold the volume DOWN key + the camera button
While holding both of those press the power button and continue holding volume and camera until you see a black screen with blue texts. that is recovery

EDIT: I accidentally said hold up instead of down. Sorry i was in class on my phone so i was in a hurry.

For future notice, if your phone freezes up on you, hold the power up key + camera and press power to do a reboot without taking the battery out

Same thing happening to me since yesterday.....I took it to Sprint, she restarted (which I had done already, to no avail), she updated all the software, and it still didn't work....so she sent me to their service center.

When I was there, another person was there with the same problem (with an Evo), and they told us that Sprint is having communication problems with Google right now, and hopefully it'll be fixed soon, and if not, to call them back tonight.

Being that we were both there, and both with different phones, it makes sense that it's a problem with the Sprint network vs a problem with the phone.

I don't know, it won't go into recovery mode for some reason...I've done it before when I manually updated versions, but won't work now.

I called sprint, they said there are data outages all across the country and they are working on it...of course. ask for and received a credit...$20.

ooohhh, I should call and ask for a credit then!!!

well, I did an online chat, and all they told me was "it sounds like a technical problem, please call 888-211-4727"......but now everything seems to be working for me, so I didn't bother.....oh well, was worth a try for $20
