Epic Maintenance Releases

With the Epic only a month old and two maintenance OTA updates any day now, I can already see some confusion in the forum as to what update does what. I assume this should be a "sticky" post.

Initial software version DG27 (8/31/2010).
- Some early phones (review models?) had version DG17.

Maintenance Release - DI07 (9/16/2010)

Enhancements:
- Samsung Media Hub provides media content (Movies, TV shows) as an available purchase option to Epic Users.
- Sprint TV upgrade
- Sprint Zone upgrade
- Amazon MP3 upgrade
- Qik upgrade

Fixes:
- 4G de-registration when activating Mobile Hotspot
- Won't maintain Exchange credentials (emails stuck in outbox and disappearing email accounts)
- GPS performance enhancement
- HotSpot 3G Idle Battery Issues
- 32GB SD Card Fix - previously when formatting the card, it wouldn't be recognized

Important Notes:
- The new software version is: S: D700.0.5S.DI07
- Your device must be on software version DG27 to perform the update to DI07. If you are still on DG17, a Sprint Service and Repair Center should be able to update your device to DG27. The update from DG27 to DI07 is not yet available to the Service and Repair Centers.

Maintenance Release - DI18 (9/30/2010 planned, 10/01/2010 actual)

Fixes:
- WiFi standby battery drain
- Amazon MP3 cannot download in 4G
- Large emails lag in upload speeds
- Increased 3G upload speeds

Important Notes:
- The new software version is: S: D700.0.5S.DI18
- This update is available OTA (over the air) and will be pushed to your device. It is being pushed in stages, beginning on 9/30 12:00AM EST, and will be rolled out to users over several days.
- Your device must be on software version DI07 to perform the update to DI18. If you are still on DG17 or DG27, a Sprint Service and Repair Center should be able to update your device to DI07. The update from DI07 to DI18 is not yet available to the Service and Repair Centers.
