Epic Photography

Very cool and creative! I've started a panoramic picture group on Flickr. I would love to see everyone's panoramic pictures shared there as well.

Flickr: Galaxy S Panoramas

I joined your group as well and added a shot of a balloon race St. Louis had this past summer. I took a little too long in the middle to line up the shot, so a couple of balloons are slightly blurry. :/

Here's a shot of my son using the free app Retro Camera (it was a while ago, so I can't remember the exact settings):

This one is a shot of my son's balloon getting block by two much bigger ones. I called it "bullies" (stock camera, auto settings):

Camera Fun with Samsung Epic

While there are many things I am missing from my Palm Pre, the camera is not one of them. It just doesn't have the pixels or focusing to be adequate other than for outside shots, where it does a nice job. The Epic really does well, IMHO, for a camera phone. With my "real camera" a Pentax DSLR, I don't usually mess with the "play modes". But it's kind of fun with the phone (I've been using the Camera Fun Pro app). Here are some that I am fond of... :D

The tree one with multiple leaves is nothing to look at by itself - but on the phone as wallpaper, it works really well spread across the brilliant Epic screens.

Those are some gorgeous shots! The single leaf shot though has some amazing colors.

Well i guess i dont have enough posts to upload a pic yet... :( maybe this will work

A few of the shots I took from the Grand Canyon and nearby Hualapai ranch. I didn't mess with any of the settings, just left the Epic on automatic so it is what is. Some of the shots are a bit washed out, but a camera phone obviously can't replace a DSLR or even a point & shoot. Anyway, without further ado...

This was my first attempt at a panoramic shot from my Epic. Every attempt I've done has always had the little stutter in it that you can clearly see in this pic. Any way I can avoid that? Clicking it should enlarge it.

If you could change the sizes of those pictures to match the middle one that would be great - awesome pic at the end btw!

Is there any way AT ALL to keep the Epic camera from changing to 0.3 Megapixels when you put it in panorama mode?

Truthfully, I prefer taking the pic and then cropping later. Pretty much the same thing as digital zoom, but it lets me feel like I've got more control over output...

I've found this to be very true. Digi zoom pics turn out pretty crappy in comparison to non-zoomed pics for whatever reason.

I found an option under settings called "Anti-Shake". I've had no problems since I turned that on. You should try it too. Your pics look like mine did before anti-shake.

I know I'm late to the thread but me too. This helped a ton.

Some pic are taken with Vignette and some with stock cam and then touch up with Vignette. I love the combo of both apps.

Had a rare chance to take a couple pics with an EVO and Epic side by side, both do really well for camera phones.
