Equipment issues

I seem to be experiencing equipment related issues with the Epic, and I am trying to determine what is causing the phone to have the issues I have experienced.

The first issue was the speaker randomly going out causing all the sounds to be muffled. Fortunately, I had the TEP on the phone, so there was no cost for repair.

Just recently, the LCD screen had a problem. It randomly stopped working so that the display turned a blue/green color and would not stay on more than two seconds. Pulling the battery was the only to turn the phone off, and when the battery was pulled and put back in, the screen problem didn't clear up. A new LCD screen was installed.

So, what is left on the phone that could potentially fail? According to a Sprint store associate, one more repair on the phone will result in getting a replacement phone.

Since those are eduipment issures rather than system issues it's better for you to replace the phone. Let us know the final result.

I had a similar incident happen to mine, external speaker took a dump a month or so ago now I had a screen failure (turning green and nothing visible on the display). They basically did a gut swap on the screen failure, took a refurb and swap the guts. Now my WIFI isn't functioning so I should have a new refurb in a few days.

I think once a chain of events happens like this either its just dumb luck or it could be the result of a breakdown on the motherboard (main board) that everything just starts to go one thing after another. Oh ya, in the process of my screen failure at the same time my sdcard mysteriously malfunctioned and I also need to purchase a new sdcard. Everything else is being covered on TEP, no cost.

The screen was replaced, and so far, nothing else has broken.

I did have a problem a few days ago where the screen was unresponsive. Couldn't access applications, or anything else that was on the home screen. I turned the phone off and back on again, and that fixed the problem.

Maybe this is the next thing to go
