Error downloading picture MMS? possible bug

Is anyone else having issues downloading media files from a text message? My phone seems to have errors whenever downloading pics. It would take a couple of minutes of downloading, followed by a error and to re-download.

What app are you using for MMS? A lot of the apps, after Stagefright, disabled the "auto download" for MMS messages. You may have to go into settings and enable that feature.

No issues on Tmo here....

I had this issue from time to time with MMS and went into the APN settings and they were blank. A guy at the T-Mobile store put in the APN settings for me and it's worked ever since.

I looked in my APN and I have the T-Mobile US 260 and US 260 ims APN's on my phone. I am connected to tye US 260 one. Does it matter that I'm connected to WiFi almost 75% of the time?

You already checked your advanced settings in Messenger to enable MMS retrieval (there are 2 options), right?

I found comments elsewhere online that Google Messenger users on Tmobile have to switch off WiFi to get MMS. This was posted here in August 2015.

Try Textra or one of the other highly rated 3rd party messaging apps. I am on Tmo and have no issues getting MMS no matter what connection I am using.

Interesting. My MMSC is "not set" and I have "default,supl" for Authentication Type.

No issues with MMS on Tmo.

Yeah I don't know. The T-Mobile guy put all these in and they work fine.

I'm pretty sure my settings were auto-generated by the SIM card...I haven't messed with them and I've never set foot in a Tmo store.

Dang, don't really want to download a third party app, but even activating mmsc and checking the settings, it does not work. It's weird. At this point, I may either need to take it to T-Mobile or just use a third party app.
