Error message "Media Playback not supported on device"

I have a Galaxy S8 running Android 9.

I use Dolphin web browser.

When trying to view a video on a BBC web page I get the error message "Media playback not supported on your device"

How can I get media play back supported?

Does this only happen on the BBC website?

If so, are you accessing it via a VPN or from outside the UK?

It makes me wonder if the message is misleading - perhaps the BBC website, and, definitely - BBC iPlayer - won't work outside the UK. Or if it thinks you're outside the UK.
