Es explorer on lg tv

Hi , Im trying to install es explorer on lg smart tv. I used google play store on the tv browser. The app installed on my phone but not tv. I re tried and there is no option in the drop down list for my tv, just an old phone from ages ago. I tried another website and clicked download and got message saying does not support download. I think my privacy/ security options are open for downloading tbough maybe there is more options to check ? Any help would be great .. thanks

Does WebOS support Android apps? Yes most likely its a security setting. In Android itself it's "Allow Unknown Sources" Also sometimes you need to "Allow ADB Debugging" BUT WebOS is different, and I'm totally not sure what settings you need. It's also possible that ES just won't run on the TV. Perhaps there's another app that would work? Have you tried Filelinked?

Good catch. I believe the answer is no. If it did - I'd be getting YouTube TV by now as my LG smart TV will not be getting the native app for it.

Even if it did run Android apps I'm not sure I'd want ES File Explorer on my TV, it's owned by Cheetah Mobile now.
