ES File Explorer open with

Hi i am trying to get my S7 to do what my S4 mini can do

The photo shows the phones opening the same file. Why am I not seeing all the options on my S7 ?

Vlc and MX player are installed and I have cleared ES File Explorers cache and data.

Unfortunately file associations are handled on a per-app basis, so for some reason, the apps aren't registering for that file type on the newer OS versions.
