Welcome to Android Central! Ugh -- hopefully it didn't delete the folder completely, thinking that it still had to complete the Move command. It's always safer to use the Copy command, since that won't affect the source files, while Move will always delete the source files at the end of the operation, even if the move to the target location malfunctioned.
Can you use a different file manager app to look for the /DCIM folder? Try Total Commander. I don't trust ES File Explorer ever since they were acquired by the shady company that makes DU Battery Saver and other junk -- they seem to be more interested in ads.
