ESN Question

Selling my Droid X2 on EBay with a clear esn. I have been asked to provide this to a potential buyer so they can verify this. I have no problem doing this, but is there any risk in doing so? Would hate to provide this to someone with malicious intentions who could do something with this info. Appreciate any input.

I wouldn't do it. There are ways to cause trouble with just an ESN number. I would put in my auction that I guarantee the ESN is clear and will give the ESN# upon payment. The buyer is protected through eBay and Paypal if you rip him off. You have no protection though if he screws with your account.

The guy is probably legit, but I still wouldn't do it and just explain my reasons.
Personally, I always sell on Craigslist so that you can meet at a Verizon store and do the exchange there, but that may not work for your situation.

I would let them read this guide on eBay if they have a pronblem with you not giving out the number.
