ESPN3 on HDMI?

Will ESPN3 work through the HDMI to the TV? I am trying to watch a game at a tailgate tomorrow and wondering whether or not to go buy the cable on the way.

Not sure if this will help with your decision or not,,,,but.....I heard that the HDMI cable would only work with video playback of media recorded with the EVO......so I purchased it anyway....tried it out and found that it'll played all videos including videos I've downloaded.....I'm thinking and I could be wrong...but if it comes thru the EVO it'll play thru the TV......I haven't tried ESPN yet but TV.com and Music Video apps I have have worked just fine

Yes, you're wrong. Applications have to be specifically written to support the HDMI output. Flash Player in the browser is not.

Ya I've only seen two apps that work with hdmi. TV.com and Mediafly. Rock Player worked for me a couple of times and I'll never be able to explain that. Unfortunately browser is a no go. I'm hoping some of the custom rom developers can figure a way around it.

I tried to watch last night football game from nfl network on HDMI and it was a no go

Sure wish Sling media would bless us with an update to our $30 expenditure so we could view Slingbox over HDMI.
