There are people who still want to compare this phone to the $800+ phones and they say how bad the Essential phone is! lol.
I just got mine and it compares very favorably to the $800 phones. I don't agree with almost any of those 1 star reviews they would be impossible to please ever. I also think some of them are fake, as many of the issues reported have clearly been fixed such as the responsiveness and the camera is much improved. The cracked screens worry me, but many of the reviews dropped it and had no issues. Of course I know a bunch of people with S8 and Note 8 phones and almost all of them are cracked with the all glass construction. I really dont know what some people want. I came from a Note 4 and used a bunch of the other flagships extensively in the Verizon store, and can say it compares very well and is better in many ways.

Glass is going to break, no matter which Gorilla version it is. The good thing with the Essential is that the back isn't glass unlike other flagships and won't break easily. Someone told me it costs $350+ to replace the glass back on a iPhone X. Wow! lol

Given the current price on Amazon and the fact I'm getting tired of issues with my Axon 7, I decided to pull the trigger. Hope to have my new Essential phone by the weekend. Hope it's as good as most of the reviews say.

It's 549 on the iPhone X. $350 is the process for the 8 plus. Stupid design!

I have a $950 note 8 and the essential phone is better to me. No not the same amount of fluff but crap I can deal with no pen and Samsung pay and get $550 to spare and a 360 cam whew!

What gets me is that with the current special, the phone with the 360° camera is $50 cheaper than the phone alone. So I guess if you just want the phone, you order it with the camera, then just throw the camera in a drawer. "Digital Monday" is more like "turn off your mind Monday" at Amazon. Or maybe the phone is selling so poorly that they just want to get rid of them.

Mine arrived in the USA your Wed (my Thursday very early morning). Had i known it would ship so fast I would have had it mailed to my pilot friend in Seattle who is about to fly over here to China. Now I have to FedEx the sucker to him for around $80. Ouch! But that beats waiting until late January to get the phone (when he flies back to seattle for a few days).
If yours has not shipped as of yet it is likely delayed since Amazon sold out from Cyber Monday.

Just got an email, my phone is allegedly arriving around Dec 7th and my camera should apparently be arriving around Christmas. I can't wait to go home on leave and use it!
