Short and sweet. My BlackBerry loving wife just got talked into upgrading to an iPhone 4S... her Tour has pooped the bed - thanks VZW customer service this is why I should have called.

I have 1 day to convince her otherwise, but should I?

She's one of those "regular users" that are sometimes discussed on my nerdy podasts such as the AC Podcast. She used her BB for email, messaging and yes Facebook. Some pics and that's it.

Will she be perfectly happy? Likely.
If I guide her towards Android won't I be to blame for any problems? YES
If she waited and got a Galaxy Nexus could I ever be happy with my Fascinate again? Doubtful.
As much as I like to play the hater am I kind of curious? Yes, actually
Did I just convince myself that it's probably not something I should fight? Hmmm I guess. Thanks everyone!?

No but seriously I welcome your thoughts. It's more my Team Android ego that's at stake. Might be healthy to let that go. I just don't want her to be another one of "them". Maybe I'm really afraid that I too might be turned to iOS (like Phil ;-))

My wife is iEverything (iPhone, iPad). I kind of like it because any problems our PC has I can blame on iTunes. Seriously, iTunes is screwed up.

iTunes is my least favorite software ever right after Real Player. Maybe over the air updates and iCloud will make it unnecessary.
