Shout out to samsung and the lollipop update, snappy and fluid. Massive upgrade in battery life, like at least 30 % higher!

From England, flashed the official build pushed out to Germany with odin, from Sammobile.

My Android line up: HTC One M7, Note 2, Moto G 4G, Oneplus One, Note 4.

And I'm tired waiting for OTA. Even Americans are getting the update.

C'mon Samsung! Baltic countries need the update.

Yup! I concur.

Also in the UK, and running the German ROM on my unlocked o2 note 4.

It took a factory reset and a couple of days to settle down (probably reindexing and whatnot) but it's been fantastic ever since. Smooth as butter, fast and responsive. No problems at all and I'm getting to the end of the day with 40%+ battery remaining.

BEAST!

Flashed the Germany rom yesterday. Had various issues. Biggest was no gmail account=no contacts. Did factory reset to "clean device". Got the option for gmail account setup. All now Ok. Battery seems better....

WIll it be possible to go back to KitKat (just in case I needed to) after flashing the German rom on my N910F?

If I flash to lollipop via sammobile will I then be able to update ota when lollipop actually gets released by samsung (network operators) in the UK?

I believe you will have to download your local update from Sammobile and use Odin again. You'll get the otas that the German model would have so probably 5.1 next.

D Android - you can download 4.4.4 from Sammobile and flash wit odin the same way.

actually considering trying this. One question though:

I am aware that I may need to do a factory reset after flashing but will the flashing process itself wipe the phone?

No, Mine did not wipe the phone. But a number of things were not working properly. No gmail account for one. Did a factory reset. All running as it should be now.

Thanks. Not sure I have time to do this tonight. Will leave it until tomorrow and take my time!

Wait, so I can do this? I'm in the U.S. on Verizon.

Have no idea the OP is in the UK. I am in South Africa. Perhaps one of the US users can advise you. The German rom is not carrier specific.

I'm amazed at how much faster my Note is on Lollipop and I thought it was fast on KK. It's like buying a new phone. Took a little bit of time to wipe cache, factory reset and download apps but it was all worth it in the end. Thanks guys! Only thing is Google Play Music is always running.

It's definitely noticeably better in lots of ways. Battery stats are waffty as feck but I think that's lollipop.

Carlos - I don't think you can have the German release, not 100% tho. Belive it has to have the correct model number, My euro unlocked is SM910F.

@Russ, were you able to get your personal information message onto the lockscreen?

The app "Agent- do not disturb and more"by Egomotion does a very good job of fixing the interruption version of the kk blocking. I'll post the source of this information as soon as I find the link again :D

managed to do this tonight. Went smoothly. Everything working after update. Will wait and see what battery life is like tomorrow. phone is noticeably snappier though, even in Nova.

thumbs up so far.

The very latest version of 5.0.1 N910FXXU1BOC3 released on the 19th of March fixed the scheduled "do not disturb" issue.
Also reputed to fix the camera lag issue.

Runs smoothly on Vodacom in South Africa
