European Note 3 usable in US?

Hi all,

I'm switching from Sprint to Verizon this summer, and had my eye on the Note 3. I noticed the difference in SAR rating (with the European Note being substantially lower). I would love to be able to use the European Note for that reason... But I'm not sure if it's possible to activate a European phone on a US account. Any insight is appreciated - thanks!

If unlocked it can be used on tmobile or ATT, but not Verizon
