Ever notice the Black S6 has darker aluminum sides then the White?

Every S6 I've seen the black version has darker/duller aluminum sides then the white version.

The white has nice bright aluminum sides and the black version is dark/dingy and not as bright.

Maybe my old eyes are not that great anymore.

Yes, the black has hard anodized aluminum, and the rest has polished aluminium.

Great, so this means the dark finish will wear off and scratch easily?

This is not a dark finish. This is the metal changing chemically into a darker color. Scratch it, and it will be dark underneath.
Scratch the polished aluminium and it will be dull underneath.
