Every single one of the apps on my Samsung S5 Neo is crashing when I open them

This has happened over the last 5 hrs today and has seemingly gotten worse. Any app that I attempt to open on my Samsung S5 Neo is crashing. From the simple factory apps such as 'Memo' to installed apps like the BBC news app. On top of it sometimes I get crash notifications on apps running in the background for example QualityTime and My Account.

I've popped out the battery a few times nothing comes out of that. I really hope it isn't some sort of planned obsolescence built into my phone.

Has anybody else had these issues?
