ahhh SPB...

I remember when I used the Mobile Shell on my Omnia i920 to make my phone look like Android...

I wonder how this one will perform ON Android.

Just saw the video. That would be a bxtch to operate whilst driving! I'm good with Go Launcher EX.

It's even more fun getting to mess with it than watching the video.

This works great for being in beta. Can't wait to see what's to come in the future with it. Just needs some more customization and settings to make it better.

I agree. Its great fun to mess with, bit I uninstalled till a few more customizations and settings are added.

It would be good for example to custom name each panel ie "games" "etc....

I'm thinking that I am already looking at a 4" screen, and the carousel in this launcher makes that even smaller. There is a line between art and functionality. Sadly, this looks to fall on the art side. JMHO.

I completely agree. I played with it for a while. Fun to play with, but I'm a fan of my wallpapers so I've done everything I can in Launcher Pro to minimize the number of icons I have on my homescreens. And this launcher is the total opposite of that. I just thought it was too cool looking not to share with everyone as a sneak peek at some of the things being developed that will work with our SF.

And I agree with everyone who is saying it would be much better if it allowed for more customizing. Who knows how different it may be when it is officially released.

Yes. It is a beta version.

I just loaded it and I REALLY like the functionality. I like having all the programs loaded on the different screens, I just wish they easier customized.

I just loaded this up and it froze the first time around but then when it opened I was shocked how quick this launcher is. I've never been big on backgrounds so this one is fine by me, just needs more customization.

Like you, I used it on my Omnia 1 and 2. I liked it, but after a bit it got just too busy. Fare better than stock, but nothing I have any interest in using again.

They burned the Winmo community by promising updates, never delivering and then this pops out, with the other users left hanging.

Visit their forums, read what was going on and decide if the support you want is there.

I'm not going back, no matter how much eye candy there is.

Loaded it up, and checked task manager. It shows up as using less than 6MB of RAM!!?? That's pretty low! No wonder it's so snappy!!

It also froze up the first time for me within a minute, but after a restart it's been golden.

Agreed. Go Launcher EX has been awesome for me. But this one looks pretty cool as well.

If this is anything like the SPB Mobile shell for Windows Mobile it is awesome. I was a Windows CE/Mobile fan for years until I tried my first android phone, the fascinate (which I will NEVER go back!). But SPB Mobile shell for the Windows Mobile platform was out of this world launcher... Might not be so dramatic here since the stock launcher on fascinate was already quite better than the stock windows mobile launcher IMHO.



DUH, now that I have watched the video (work firewall killed it)... It is like the winmo spb mobile. A great front end!!!

Just want to let anyone know if your using this and have it set as default make sure and have another launcher installed and available, not frozen in Ti Backup. Phone will not reboot if it's the only launcher, you will be stuck in a boot loop. For some reason it doesn't show up immediately after rebooting for the phone to recognize and start up. I've found this out the hard way and have had to flash my rom a few times to figure out exactly what was causing it and found it to be the cause. Other than that I have been using this since I saw the video and have been having fun with it.

Yeah the changes not saving was a bug that was noticed and discussed over at the XDA thread. It's still in beta right now, so hopefully for those who would like to eventually try this full time for their launcher those bugs will be ironed out before official release, especially the level of customization you can do.

I have been using this for a few weeks, absolutely love it. Super quick. Freezes every now and then but it is a beta.
