So here's a funny story. Back in late September, Verizon offered me a the chance to swap out my buggy HTC Thunderbolt for a LG revolution. Despite the Thunderbolt being a better phone and having a bigger dev community, i went to the Revolution since im a phone whore and love change. lol. VZ sent my Revolution and i shipped back my Thunderbolt. A week later i received a text saying they never got it and ill be charged 550 bucks! I called CS and they said "no, we got it. No worries" Back in mid October, i received the text again, so i called and the CS rep says we actually never got it. What's weird is he said it shows they received it, but it's not confirmed. He said i will receive a text the next day letting me know it was fixed. I decided to call the next day and another rep said it was fixed. So every things fine and dandy, but now it's early November.

I check my account tonight and see a charge of 550 bucks! So i call to find out the problem and apparently my Thunderbolt was received, but for some reason, the warehouse thought they were supposed to receive another revolution. So obviously the serial numbers didn't match. She said she made note and it will all be cleared next week.

But here's where my luck changes.(After the normal, "well we thank you for calling, was there anything else i could help you with?) I tell her how i really want to early upgrade to get the Galaxy Nexus. She said she has not heard of a release date for the phone, but she could definitely early upgrade for me. She said, every saturday they receive word on new launches/preorders. So there was nothing today. So next week she will find out if it's coming soon and if so, she'll call me and let me know i can pre order, and she'll do it for me. She said it's always best to call to do early upgrades because customer reps are not paid commission like the sales reps in store.

In order to cut my story short, a bad situation turned into a pretty sweet opportunity for me. And what makes this funnier is i was so nervous about the charge, i called Verizon at exactly 6 am. But get this, im in phoenix. So it's only 3 am here lol. I called them a 6 am eastern time lmao. Wow this post got long, really fast. Hope this made you laugh. I know i did lmfao.
