everytime a headphone is connected on my samsung galaxy note 3 the earpiece stops working?

i don't have problem with my earpiece but everytime i connect headset and disconnect it my earpiece stops working. I can't hear calls not unless i place it on speaker phone..

Possible hardware defect. On some Samsung phones the earpiece and headphone jack are on one assembly.

You could try a cache wipe or even a factory reset, but not sure if those will help since a hardware defect seems more likely than software I think.
