Re: evleaks: Verizon will carry the two Nexus phones

..what if the new Google-sold Nexus phones don't support Verizon and Sprint like the Nexus 6, 5X, and 6P? That could be a reason for this Verizon variant.
That would be a HUGE step backward with no real reason.

And that would SUCK but ... I think it might be enough for me to not buy it; not sure. Depends on whether or not it could be software converted like the old GPE phones and somehow still work on Verizon.

Then I sure won't buy one out of the gate; I would want to see if Verizon puts themselves between timely updates and the device. I also very much like not having their bloat ware, even disabled. As much as I like stock Android, I might look at an unlocked S7.

I guess I'll start the rumor now. ;)

How bad can Big Red screw this up? Did the old Galaxy Nexus have VZW bloat, or not get timely updates? Just curious as to what to expect....

No bloat; was actually difficult to get Verizon apps to work for the first year. They did also impede Google Wallet at first. There was also no bloat on the Nexus 6 they carried, though it did briefly have its own software build version. As for updates... really depends on if anything is changed or if they're just selling it.

I thought the Galaxy Nexus had the My Verizon and Visual Voice Mail apps.

Hmm, you may be right. It's been awhile, I'm probably mistaken.
